Dizzy Birds are a traditional jazz band formed by six young international musicians based in Berlin. Although each member comes from a different background, they all share the same passion for the oldest jazz in the world which was born in New Orleans at the beginning of last century.
Having quickly gained recognition in the swing dancing community and club scene of Berlin the band moved on from the streets and undergrounds to jazz festivals and international dance events in Europe becoming one of the best hot jazz bands in the scene, often collaborating with some of the finest musicians from New Orleans. (Meschiya Lake, Russell Welch, Joseph Faison…)
The style of the band resurrects the original rough and powerful sound of early jazz where music was meant to be hot, entertaining and danceable. Inspired by the greatest composers such as Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver, Louis Armstrong’s hot five, Sidney Bechet, the band delivers fresh interpretations and thrilling arrangements, exciting all kinds of audiences from dancers, jazz connoisseurs to party crowds.

Giorgio, Gino and Giuseppe: the swing soldiers! They step in where swing is needed, like a real task-force, and they enforce its essential values , like a musical police. A three men’s group that sounds like a complete big band.
They light up your dancing desire, but … Be aware! Don’t clap on downbeat, they could arrest you.

Everyone knows LucieQ in Roma. In the last years she has been very busy animating evenings, in small friendly situations and in the great events with international guests.
Dealing with great classical tracks that made crazy the Lindyhopperses in the Savoy, or the new sonorities from the sidewalks in New Orleans, she only plays musics that she loves and dance.
You can find LucieQ online, chattign in blogs, videos, translations, or at ‘Forte Prenestino' in Rome, promoting her project of sharing and diffusion of popular dances and the music of the Swing Era.
In late evening always engages endless conversations about the oldie scene, the history, the people, the past and future: impossible to separate the ”Lindy-nerd" from the Dj!
Music and Motors are his greatest passions. Thanking them Tone Cooper has been catapulted in the marvelous world of swing in 2009.
He started dancing Lindy Hop with Irene Vecchia ( aka S’Nap) and riding on his motorbike, they have been traveling around in Italy and Europe to take part in concerts, workshop and swing festivals. Their dream was to bring the swing movement in their city, so they found the Swingin' Napoli.
Since then they have been organized events, social dances nights, dance classes, in the beginning as students and after as A.N.M.B.’s recognized teachers, to promote and to spread the swing culture.
When Tone Cooper is deejaying, it’s impossible to withstand his overwhelming musical selections that ranges from the Swing to the Rock'n'Roll, through Rhythm and Blues. Also who has never dared to dance before, will be tasting rhythms and old-time music on the dance floor.
He has met the swing music, and actually Lindy Hop and Balboa dances, in 1999 in a club in Houston (Usa) and it immediately turns into a passion that he still can’t keep under control.
It took him into the study of the great musical protagonists: the Big Band, soloists and the most famous dancer of the that times.
As a Dj, you could have met him in the Parma Swing Festival and in the last editions of the Swing On The Beach in Pescara, but even if behind his console, he really can’t stand static.
The whole wisdom and awareness that can have a dancer of Adam’s level, will become good vibrations for your ears and music for your feet
